SoftBank Group Corp. and OpenAI have established SB OAI Japan GK, a joint venture aimed at delivering enterprise AI solutions tailored for the Japanese market. The partnership will introduce Crystal Intelligence, a platform combining OpenAI's advanced models with SoftBank's local expertise, scheduled for exclusive launch in Japan by 2026.

The venture navigates Japan's APPI data protection laws and upcoming AI governance regulations, offering full compliance support. SoftBank Corp. will implement Crystal Intelligence internally before expanding to corporate clients, marking OpenAI's most significant regional market penetration to date.
